The group will depart around 3pm from Le Tigre Hotel for an afternoon visit to Angkor Wat for sunset.

Day 02: Angkor Wat Temples
An early start is important to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, the group will meet at 4:30am in the lobby of Le Tigre Hotel and make our way to Angkor Wat. After sunrise, we will have a group breakfast in Angkor Wat.

After starting at Angkor Wat, we will explore a range of temples including Bayon, Preah Khan, Banteay Srei and Ta Proh. Guests can explore as a group or individually. This is a big day and it would be difficult to coordinate everyones desires and intentions as one large group. Lunch will be provided at Angkor Wat also.

There will be some time in the afternoon to explore the city and visit the numerous markets Siem Reap offers. The night market is also a popular site as well as the world renowned Pub Street.

A group dinner will be provided at a traditional nearby restaurant.

Day 03: Travel day to Koh Kong via Kompong Phluk Floating Villages
Breakfast will be provided before we leave so a relatively early start is important, we will be collected at 8am from Home Sweet Home in private transport.

Depending on road conditions, we will hope to make a visit to the Floating Villages of Tonle Sap to break up the drive to Koh Konh.

We would advise guests to purchase any snacks and water they may want prior to departing. Lunch will be provided on the way.

Dinner will be provided at a traditional local restaurant where we will also discuss important elements of the trek.

Our accommodation in Koh Kong will be 99 Guesthouse Koh Kong

Day 04 - 08: Jungle Trekking in the Cardamom Mountains
Early breakfast to allow for pick up from 99 Guesthouse at 8am and make our way to the stunning Tatai. Situated in the Cardamom Mountains, deep jungles surround us in every direction. We are met by our Trekking guides and we complete a final pack and trek preparation.

We will be sleeping in hammocks but THISWORLDEXISTS would still recommend a sleeping mat (to stop mosquitoes biting through) and a light sleeping bag as nights may get chilly (others may prefer just to use a sleeping bag liner). The days will be adventure fuelled as we make our own trail through the jungles of the Cardamom Mountains, passing numerous waterfalls and completing many river crossings. Here we will likely see snakes and birds, with chances of monkeys and other smaller animals. Whilst these jungles have leopards, tigers and elephants, it is highly unlikely we will have any encounters with these animals.

During the trek, it is advised that we pack two sets of clothes; one wet and one dry. Our day time wear will be used every day and we are happy for this gear to get wet, we need to ensure that we have a dry set of clothes every night to put on once we have set up camp. Multiple pairs of socks are encouraged.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the trek and guests should ensure they have water sterilisation options with them and snacks as they desire on the trek.

After the trek finishes, we will make our way back to Koh Kong in preparation for our project.

Dinner on the 24th will be provided in Koh Kong and guests can explore the city and its surrounds if they have sufficient energy after the trek.

Day 09-12: Commence project on Koh Krong Island
We will arrive at the village at around 10am and be greeted by the local community. Our group will be sleeping in basic guesthouses in close proximity to the school. Thin mattresses will be provided and sleeping bags required (Mosquito Nets will be provided).

During the days, the group will be responsible for two main tasks, assisting with the building of the new school for the Koh Krong Island community and beautifying the existing surroundings of their school.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided by the villagers and it would be great to assist with the preparation of these items as required.

Day 13: Travel to Kampot
Departing Koh Kong, we will make our way east towards the unique town of Kampot. Due to time restrictions, we will be limited to exploring the city on dusk and nightfall but it is a great place to spend more time if you were to ever come back to Cambodia.

Guests will have the afternoon and morning to visit nearby Kep, Pepper plantations, salt fields, caves and/or Bokor National Park.

The group will be stating in Sebana Guesthouse Makara St, Krong Kampot

Day 14: Travel to Phnom Penh
On route to our final destination, the capital Phnom Penh. Lunch will be provided on the way. An interesting city that is rich in culture and history. Previously called the Pearl of Asia, it was the jewel of Indochina. Today, it is not as polished as it once was and has an element of seediness to it, particularly at night time.

Dinner will be provided at a traditional restaurant nearby our accommodation in Phnom Penh.

Day 15: Exploring in Phnom Penh
Today we have two main sites to visit and then a bit of free time. After breakfast, we will head to the Killing Fields, one of many sites that during the Khmer Rouge regime were designated sites for torture and execution. A horribly disturbing site but important to understand the history and pathway Cambodia has taken to this day.

From here we will make our way to S-21, the school that was turned into a prison during the Pol Pot years. These walls would have witnessed countless atrocities and the well documented genocide museum inside its current day walls provide all the information about the Khmer Rouge and their crimes.

Free time to explore Phnom Penh in the afternoon and a final group dinner will be held nearby our accommodation at a time decided by the group on the day.

Day 16: Depart from Phnom Penh
Group transport to the airport will be provided after breakfast.
